IVANHOE MINES DRC SARL (hereinafter “IMD SARL”) is a company operating in the Congolese mining sector, with offices in Lubumbashi (Province of Haut-Katanga) and the City-Province of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (hereinafter the “DRC”). IMD SARL is inviting qualified candidates, both male and female, who are interested in this position. The place of work will be located in Lubumbashi.

Support Ivanhoe DRC financial reporting function in complying with all statutory requirements related to the preparation of the monthly OHADA closing and the annual closing, including the preparation of ad‑hoc reports.

You will have the following:
  • Fluent in French and proficient in English
  • Accounting qualification (Degree in Accounting, Economics, or equivalent);
  • Excellent experience and understanding of OHADA reporting requirements;
  • Better understanding of IFRS standards applicable to the mining industry.
You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:
  • Experience working on JDE
Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
  • Supervise and provide guidance to accountant assistants to ensure high quality accounting deliverables.
  • Review monthly IFRS reporting packs for all exploration entities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Prepare the monthly OHADA trial balance (TB) and general ledger (GL).
  • Maintain regular (at least monthly) collaboration with the onsite finance teams at Kamoa Copper and Kipushi, including reviewing their OHADA TB and GL.
  • Prepare the annual OHADA financial statements and management reports for Ivanhoe Mines DRC entities.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of annual budgets.
  • Oversee the external audit process to ensure timely submission of audit reports.
  • Continuously improve and automate the OHADA reporting process, including updating French account descriptions and mapping.
  • Support external financial reporting requirements, including submissions of relevant reports addressed to the DRC Central Bank, Directorate, etc.
  • Assist tax team in providing all accounting information requested during tax audits
  • Perform additional finance-related tasks as required
